Thapa, the commander of Aridaman battalion, was deployed for the security of Langtang national park. He was found inlvolved in smuggling the semi-precious wood through the park.
The army´s Summary General Court decided to take against Thapa according to the Military Act 2063.
Nepal Army´s statement said Thapa was declared ineligible for all government services in future and would be jailed for two years.
