Speaking at a function organized to mark 10th anniversary of Grill Entrepreneurs´ Organization Nepal (GEON), he urged the private sectors to help end the present energy crisis.[break]
"The government is ready to provide any kinds of support, cooperation and complications to end the energy crisis in the country," said minister Bista.
He urged entrepreneurs to select power projects between 10 to 20 megawatt and urged for speedy construction saying that the government will provide grant to construct such projects.
The government has sought cooperation from private sector, which has an important role to end the energy crisis, he said and assured that the government will give priority to distribute power produced by entrepreneurs to industries.
On the occasion, Senior Vice-chairman of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Bhaskar Raj Rajkarnikar said the energy crisis can be ended by creating investment-friendly environment, not merely by not by delivering speeches.
President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Suresh Kumar Basnet assured of necessary support from his organisation to grill industries. The government should give special attention to bring small electricity projects into operation to resolve the energy crisis, said Basnet.
It was reported that load shedding as well as lack of skilled human power and clear industrial policy are the main problems of the grill industries that are paying millions of rupees of tax to the government.
