Around 100 Maoist cadres led by Maoist area in-charge Gokarnanath Neupane ´Gejendra´ beat up the three, including NC worker Bachchu Krishna Thapa over a dispute, according to Binod Pathak, a member of Nepali Congress (NC), Nuwakot. The dispute occurred after Thapa protested construction of a road by encroaching large chunk of his land.
Among those beaten up by the Maoists are Thapa, his son Manoj Jung and his daughter-in-law. Dhruva Adhikari, NC´s Nuwakot chairman, has condemned the incident.
