DADELDHURA, April 19: The UCPN (Maoist) has called off its four-day shutdown in Dadeldhura after the district court released on bail six Maoist cadres facing attempted murder charges.

The Maoist party had imposed the strike to protest the arrest of its cadres, including district member Jaya Bahadur Sarki, who had attacked three Nepali Congress cadres including Ram Chandra Aire. All three are in critical condition.

The bail amount is Rs 10,000 each.

Nepali Congress has expressed its dissatisfaction over the court decision saying the court bowed to Maoist pressure.
