Earlier, the panel had asked the party’s central committee leaders to voluntarily submit their property details and had extended the deadline twice. The statement said the panel will now conduct a thorough investigation into the complaints.

The commission had asked the party members to file complaint with the commission against any office bearers or central members of the party if they have credible information about hidden assets. The commission chairman had also assured the party members that the personal details of the person filing complaints would be kept confidential.

Those interested to file complaint had been asked to submit their complaints to commission chairman Sherchan and two other members Lokendra Bista and Nawaraj Subedi at the party headquarters in Paris Danda.
