KATHMANDU, July 9: Police have arrested a person on the charge of multiple thefts.

Metropolitan Police Crime Division nabbed Tika Bahadur KC of Jugu-1 in Dolakha from from Gaurighat in the capital on the charge of committing burglaries.
He has been accused of stealing property worth Rs 108,500 from the house of Lednal Ruit, Rs 403,000 from the house of Phu Doma Sherpa of Gokarneshwor-13, Rs 1.1 million from the house of Kamara Bhattarai in Gokarneshwor-14 and Rs 255,000 from the house of Rajan Yonjan in Gokarneshwor -13.
Police said KC made off with property worth Rs 135,000 from the house of Karma Lama in Gokarneshwor-13 and Rs 570,000 from the house of Ritu KC in Nagarjun.
He allegedly stole an idol of Lord Gautama Buddha and gold and silver ornaments from a monastery in Jiri-8 of Dolakha
