The marathon will be held on November 6 where athlete of 50-60 years age group will participate. [break]
Maharjan was selected for the race as he had finished in the ninth position of the Nagano Marathon held last year.
The top 10 runners of the Nagano marathon have automatically secured berth for the New York Marathon.
Maharjan has participated in international marathons events in London, Tokyo and some other countries.
