KATHMANDU, March 21: NMB Bank Machhindra Club and NIBL Friends Club played 0-0 draw on Thursday in the super league rounds of Martyrs Memorial Red Bull A Division Football League under way at the Dasharath Stadium, Kathmandu.

The result left both the teams unchanged in their respective positions with Machhindra remaining in the fourth position with 32 points, two points ahead of fifth placed Friends. [break]Three Star (39), NRT (35) and MMC (34) are in top three spots after playing four out of seven matches in the super league.

“The result turned to be setback for both the teams,” said Friends coach Meghraj KC, hinting that any of the team could have moved closer to second position with a victory. “The slippery ground also might have hampered the level,” said KC.

The match had started after downpour.

Machhindra coach Raju Shakya said his team came up with better performance than previous matches of the super league despite absence of striker cum regular skipper Dipak Rai due to a match suspension.

Friends custodian Bashir Toyin prevented attacks on goal from Karna Limbu. Friends had also created as many as three scoring chances but failed to utilize them.
