According to the District Police Office Morang, a police patrolling van (Na.1.Jha 7525) and a motorcycle (Ko.5.Ka 5193) had collided in Letang Bazar.
Three persons riding on the motorbike were injured in the incident.
The infuriated locals had cordoned the police unit and pelted stones at the cops.
Cops including Constable Jawananda Jha are said to have been injured.
The injured ones from both sides are being treated at BP Koirala Health Science Institute, Dharan.
According to the police, locals also vandalized the hospital accusing the hospital staff of negligence.
