PARASA, Feb. 20: The plastic Industries in Parsa district have been hit hard due to 14 hours of long power cuts, complained the industrialists.

Some plastic industries have halted the production after the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) failed to supply the electricity at the industrial estate as well.[break]

According to Kuber Gupta, Chairman of Nepal Plastic Industry Association, Birgunj, the production has been decreased due to the load shedding and added that electricity is necessary for heating and cooling the raw materials for the production.

Gupta added they have urged the NEA, Birgunj, to supply electricity for at least 10 hours, but to no avail.

The industrial city owns a total of 200 plastic industries.
