Little Miss World Nepal to be held

KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Little Miss World Nepal – 2011vv the International Festival of Culture and Arts are is all set to be organized at the Army Officers’ Club, Sundhara, on August 20.



Little Miss World Festival, acclaimed as international children’s festival of beauty and talent, is being put together by Nepalese Council, an event management company affiliated with the Little Miss World festival. [break]



The show is produced by Fashion Center Europe, Ukraine.



According to the press release, the event has a history of serving 10 years for unifying the little girls around the globe to come together and celebrate their rich culture and heritage.



The initial phase of the contest saw a total of 85 contestants from 23 schools attending the Audition Rounds after which 35 contestants from16 schools were selected for the finale.







The selected 35 contestants then will be put under a special training session at Kids’ Play Zone People’s Plaza at Khicha Pokhari from July 31 to August 17.



The final show will have the contestants carrying the national flag and walk on the stage while displaying a banner printed with “We are the pillars of Nepal.” in the first round.



The final winner will get opportunity to participate in the final pageant representing Nepal among 40 countries in the 11th Little Miss World meet that will be held from October 2 till October 8 at Sunny Antalya, Turkey.



Also, the winner will also be representing Nepal in promoting the Nepal Tourism Year 2011 and also its highlights and serve as a volunteer in different schools in Nepal.



The organizers believe that the program is a great opportunity to expose Nepal in the international arena through talented Nepali kids.



The main objective, according to them, is to provide little girls with a common platform through pageantry and boost their patriotic feelings for their country.



The program also intends to provide entertainment and enlightenment about Nepali arts, talents and culture to the audience.



15 % of the sum from the sales of tickets will be donated to the single women’s group and women working on human rights issues.
