Life coming back to normalcy: Egyptian envoy

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: Egyptian Ambassador to Nepal Moustafa Abdelhamid Mohamed Gendy has said that the life in his country is coming back to normalcy and the interim government is working with a road map to handover state power to next elected government within coming nine months.



At a news conference organized at his office in Lalitpur on Thursday to share information about recent political situation in Egypt, he said the government has formed a taskforce of experts to amend current constitution and that it will start working within a couple of days. [break]



The group of constitutional experts will prepare a draft of the constitutional amendment within two months and the document will get endorsed through the referendum, said Ambassador Gendy.



He further said that the President will hold the election and hand over the state power to the elected government as per the roadmap.
