KATHMANDU, March 8: Three Star Club will take on Nepal Police Club in Martyrs Memorial Red Bull A Division League to begin at the Dasharath Stadium on Friday.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) had given a break to the top tier club before the super-eight round of the league as Nepal was hosting the AFC Challenge Cup Group D Qualifiers. The qualifiers concluded on Wednesday. [break]

There were seven Three Star players and five NPC players in the national squad and as the league is resuming right after the Challenge Cup, both the sides are facing problems in setting up their teams.

"We could face difficulties in setting up a team. It would have been better if national team players were given a few days to build coordination with other players in the club," said NPC coach Birat Krishna Shrestha. Three Star coach Pradeep Humagain also raised the same issue but both the coach said that the first match of the super-eight round would be a tough fight.

Three Star has been leading the league with 35 points from 15 matches, seven points ahead of second placed Nepal Army. NPC is in the eighth position 23 points from 15 matches.

Other teams in the super-eight round are NMB Machhindra Club (27 points), New Road Team (26 points), Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi (26 points), Ranipokhari Corner Team (26 points) and Friends Club (25 points).
