Lawmakers to fly to Sudan

KATHMANDU, March 12: Members of a subcommittee formed by the State Affairs Committee (SAC) of parliament are flying to Darfur, Sudan, on Saturday for a field study on the alleged irregularities in the purchase of logistics for the Nepal Police´s peacekeepers in Darfur.



Member of the subcommittee Jagadishwar Narsingh KC said a seven-member team is leaving for a 10-day visit to Sudan. The team includes five lawmakers -- Pradip Gyawali, KC himself, Ram Janam Chaudhary, Bhim Prasad Gautam and Lila Nyaichyai.
