Law overriding politics says attorney general

BHAKTAPUR, May 14: Attorney General Mukti Pradhan has alleged that Nepal´s politics was being run by law.



Inaugurating a three-day-long Third Annual National Conference of students of law organized by Nepal Law Students´ Network on  he said interference of law on politics was wrong and unfortunate.[break]



"Law and politics are different issues. Law should not interfere on politics," Pradhan said.



He was of the opinion that country´s leadership was weak and the problems were created due to visionless rulers.



The attorney general suggested that law education should be included in the school-level curriculum, adding that all should know about law.



On the occasion, legal experts expressed their opinions about situation of law education in the country.



Some 200 students are participating in the conference. The experts and participants are likely to discuss constitution making in Nepal, human rights, right to information and others.
