Journalist Khadka under repeated threat

DANG (Deukhuri), March 26: Journalist Narayan Khadka working in Radio Tulsipur of Dang was issued death threat by an underground outfit Tigers Group.



The group has been giving threats to journalist Khadka for the past couple of months.[break]



He was compelled to stay in the Capital under the protection of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) during four months last year after getting displaced due to repeated threats from the same group.



He was issued threat to leave the workplace within a week, journalist Khadka said.



Earlier, an unidentified group had murdered chairperson of Radio Tulsipur Devi Prasad Dhital and the guilty party has not yet been booked.



Meanwhile, various organizations issuing press release condemned the incident of death threat to radio journalist Khadka.



´Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) urges the sides concerned to stop intimidating journalists, who have taken up the profound responsibility of making people informed´, stated a press release issued by FNJ, Dang.



The FNJ Chapter also called on to resolve the problems through discussion, the release stated.
