Talking to the media briefly upon arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport Wednesday, the Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister said Japan was willing to provide assistance to Nepal that is moving ahead on the campaign of nation building. Bessho arrived on a two-day official visit to Nepal.[break]
He also said that the Japanese assistance would also be provided towards concluding the peace process in Nepal. He added that the objective of his visit was to further strengthening the relationship between Nepal and Japan and work together in furthering the economy.
Japan´s Deputy Foreign Minister Bessho is scheduled to hold separate meetings and talks with the top leaders of the main political parties as well as with the Prime Minister on the latest political developments in Nepal, the progress made in the peace and constitution writing fronts and future plans.
He was received by senior officials at the Embassy of Japan, Kathmandu.
