Despite these ratings, Nepal has shown commitment to open government and is eligible to join the Open Government Partnership, which believes transparency + participation = accountability, effectiveness and efficiency. Due to the information shown here and because of Nepal's eligibility to join the Open Government Partnership, we posit that the solution to corrupt government already lies within Nepal's citizens who can take steps to demand more government transparency.
