Prime Minister Nepal said he told Indian prime minister that he was committed to draft new constitution and draft new constitution through consensus and cooperation among political parties. He told the Indian prime minister that both the tasks were possible if the ´concerned party´ provide necessary support to him.

“The peace process was initiated at a critical juncture,” he said. “There is no alternative to drafting the new constitution by concluding the ongoing peace process in the country.” The two leaders held a 45-minute talk at India House located in SAARC village on Thursday.

According to Foreign Secretary Madan Kumar Bhattarai, the two leaders reviewed the status of implementation of the agreements reached between the two countries during Prime Minister Nepal´s visit to India.
