India, China have similar view on Nepal: Chinese envoy

KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Chinese ambassador to Nepal Yang Houlan said on Friday Nepal’s immediate neighbors both China and India have a similar view on Nepal’s recent political developments.



He said there have been constant communications going on between Beijing and Delhi on Nepal’s recent political situation and added that he is in regular touch with Indian envoy to Nepal Jayanta Prasad. [break]



Speaking at an interaction in Reporters’ Club Nepal, the Chinese diplomat expressed his view that Nepal’s political stability would be beneficial to both China and India, adding that both the countries want to see social and political stability in the country.



He also said China and India enjoy a cordial mutual relationship and made it clear that China does not believe in controlling one nation’s behavior by the other.



Stating that Nepal’s political situation has remained complicated in recent times, the Chinese envoy expressed his belief that Nepali people will be able to solve their own problem, soon.
