Galaxy elected to bat and was all out for 86 runs in 17.4 overs. Prashant Shrestha and Arjun Bhusal took two wickets each for the Army School while Basu Baniya, Gunjan Yadav and Dharmendra Rana Magar claimed a wicket each. Three batsmen of Galaxy were short of the crease. Aakash Bista (32 runs off 27 balls) and Aaditya Pandey (12 runs off 23 balls) were the major contributors for Galaxy.[break]
In reply, man-of-the-match Niraja Shrestha scored unbeaten 50 runs off 31 balls to guide the Army School to victory in 9.1 overs without losing any wicket. Abishek Poudel contributed unbeaten 23 runs off 25 balls to script the easy victory.
Winner Army School bagged Rs 20,000 while runner-up Galaxy received Rs 10,000.
Based on the performance until semifinal, Nabin Budhathoki of Galaxy was adjudged the best batsman. Budhathoki had scored 119 runs in the four matches with the average of 39.67. Army School´s Prashant Shrestha, who claimed eight wickets in the four matches, got the best bowler award.
Meanwhile, Niraj Shrestha of the Army School was awarded with the title of the player-of-the-series. He scored 126 runs in the tournament, including the half-century of the final. His batting average was 31.50 in the tournament.
Chief Guest of the closing ceremony and Nepal Army´s Lieutenant General Netra Bahadur Thapa and Nepal Army Welfare Planning Director Dhani Das Karki gave away the prizes to the winners.
