Hooch death toll seven in Rautahat

BIRGUNJ, Feb 5: At least seven people have died in Rautahat district over the past four days after consuming spurious liquor. The death toll reached seven on Thursday after Ram Nath Thakur of Gamhari Birta VDC-3 died. He died while being rushed to Duncan Hospital in Raxaul, India from a local hospital at Gaur, the district headquarters. At least 13 people who had taken ill after consuming hooch are currently undergoing treatment at Duncan Hospital.
