According to the statement on the press release, the rally was made in the honor of martyrs who have made sacrifices and play an important role in the way we live as free individuals today. Since we commemorate our late relatives and family members on Gai Jatra and because the martyrs are also part of our family, we should take this day to remember their sacrifices. [break]
Ashesh Pokhrel, Public Relations Officer of DEYO Nepal, said, “In our country, we only tend to remember our martyrs on Martyrs Day and then forget about their contributions till the next year. We can only honor them when we make their dream come true and their dream was to see Nepal as a beautiful, peaceful and developed country. So, we should all come together to make this a reality.”
Around 200 people participated in the rally.
