KATHMANDU, March 2: Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Kumar Thapa has said the Fagu purnima (Holi festival), observed as a festival of colours, reflects Nepal's ethnic, lingual and cultural diversity and gives a message of national unity.
Giving a message of best wishes on Holi festival today, President Thapa reminded the Holi festival bears cultural and historical importance. It helps in fostering love and unity, he added. "I wish the Holi festival inspired all Nepalis to devote to love, harmony, tolerance and reconciliation in family and society," Thapa said in the message.

He also viewed this year's Holi festival is being observed on the eve of House of Representatives (HoR) election, a democratic exercise. Thapa expressed belief that the March 5 HoR election would be held successfully to consolidate democracy and pave the way for national building.
The NC further wished peace, prosperity and happiness to all Nepalis on this occasion.
