The event will feature mountain biking, trail running and rock climbing, the organizers informed during a press conference held in the capital on Monday. [break]
Mountain biking will feature three different competitions -- Marmot Night Uphill Challenge, Hattiban XC Super Challenge and Super D (Downhill), said Dipesh Ghale, the president of Himalayan Outdoor.
According to the organizers, about 40 participants will compete in the night uphill challenge, 50 to 60 participants in the XC Super Challenge and 60 participants in the downhill event.
The trail running event includes Western Union 5 km Trail Run, , LA College Champa Devi 10 km Challenge and Muddy Heaven. In Muddy Heaven, the dirtiest runner at the end will be declared the winner.
Natural Rock Climbing and Dyno Bouldering competitions are included in the rock climbing event. In Dyno Bouldering the participants need to leap from one handhold or foothold to another.
The winners of all events will be awarded with cash prizes and attractive gift hampers.
