Officials of International Motors hope the stylish look of the scooter combined with better performance on the road will attract the Nepali youngsters. “As the demand for scooter is increasing in the Nepali market with both men and women preferring it, we have ventured into the scooter segment,” said Chitra Bahadur Kunwar, managing director of International Motors.
Fencing 125 has sporty appearance with comfortable seats. It is powered by a 125 cc four stroke single cylinder engine with V type belt continuously variable transmission (CVT).
“With durable tubeless tires, riders do not have to worry about getting a puncture, making it safe and fun to ride,” said Kunwar, adding, “Besides, with the help of digital display system, customers can easily keep track of speed, distance traveled and fuel in the tank.”
The scooter has larger wheelbase of 1,210 mm compared to other scooters in the market. It is safer with better braking performance with disk brake at the front and drum brake at the rear, according to the company. The scooter is light and comfortable and is 1,745 mm long, 660 mm wide and 1,105 mm high. It has LED light in the backlight and sidelights that reduces power consumption and helps increase the battery life.
The scooter has 4.5 liters fuel tank and is fitted with forced air cooling system and capacitor discharge ignition (CDI) system.
It gives mileage of 45 km per liter and has high pick-up with climbing capacity of 25 degree,” said Kunwar.
The company has announced the introductory price of the scooter at Rs 185,900. The price, however, will be valid for a month only. Kunwar said they have yet to fix the price of the scooter due to fluctuating US dollar.
Fencing 135 is available in different color options like red, blue, black and white. The company provides the buyers an engine warranty of 12,000 km and 15 free servicing.
