Sitaula opined that Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai should clarify the matter as he represents the UCPN (Maoist).
Addressing a press meet organized in Bharatpur on Monday afternoon, Sitaula said the Maoists must return the amount received by the party on behalf of those combatants who had already left the cantonments.
“How can one misuse money from the state coffers? The Maoist party must return the amount taken in the name of fake combatants,” he said, adding, "Political parties have been holding discussion in this regard.”
Sitaula said integration of the combatants will be concluded very soon and fundamental issues of the peace process will be completed by mid-December.
Saying that new constitution can be drafted within 15 days after completion of the peace process, Sitaula added, “Political parties have been holding discussion on dissolving the paramilitary structure of YCL and returning illegal vehicles used by the Maoists.”
