KATHMANDU, Nov 21: A dialogue between the government and four armed groups of Tarai concluded on Saturday avoiding the political agendas. Nevertheless the government agreed to release two cadres of each group so as to create atmosphere for more talks with them.

Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Rakam Chemjong and the chief leaders of Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha, Madhesi Mukti Tigers, Tarai Virus Killers and Liberation Tigers of Tarai Eelam participated in the talks. This is the second time these four groups jointly sat with the government for talks.

The negotiation held at the Ministry´s office at Singha Durbar only focused on setting free the cadres of the groups who were arrested on criminal charges, sources said.

Mediator Nagendra Rijal said that both sides reviewed the past round of talks and implementation of the agreements reached. "Next meeting will hopefully deal with the political agendas," he said.

The groups have been demanding management and integration of their cadres by the government.
