KATHMANDU, March 25: On the fourth trading day of the week, both gold and silver prices rose in Nepal, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA).
The price of hallmarked gold has been set at Rs 288,500 per tola on Wednesday. On Tuesday, gold had dropped by Rs 1,600 per tola to Rs 273,900.
Gold and silver prices remain steady
Silver also saw a significant increase, rising by Rs 415 per tola on Wednesday to Rs 4,920. On Tuesday, silver had risen by Rs 80 per tola, trading at the same Rs 4,505 per tola, FENEGOSIDA reported.
In the international market, gold traded at around USD 4,571.62 per ounce, and silver at USD 73.46 per ounce on Wednesday. Domestic gold and silver prices in Nepal are determined largely by these international market fluctuations.
