Four killed in Jhapa accident

JHAPA, Jan 15: Four pilgrims, including an infant, who had set out to attend the Maghe Sankranti fair at Kankai Mai, were killed in a road traffic accident at 7:45 a.m. on Friday. They were killed after the car (Ba 5 Cha 6543) they were traveling on was hit by a passenger bus (Na 3 Kha 9994) near Kamalkhola at Topgachhi.



Mahendra Kumar Limbu, 37, of Sungnam-1, Tehrathum, his wife Dhankumari, 28, are among those killed in the accident. One-and-a-half-year old Sagar Tamang of Biratnagar-16, and 33-year-old Surya Bahadur Raya of Gaighat-4 were also killed in the accident.



There were altogether eight people in the car. Four other passengers in the car have sustained injuries.
