Four die in separate road accidents

HETAUDA, Aug 29: Two persons died on the spot and four others were injured in a road accident in Makawanpur district on Monday morning.



The deceased have been identified as Makhan Mukhiya, 40, of Jaganathpur VDC-2, Parsa district and Maya Thing, 30, of Manahari-3, Makawanpur district, according to police.



The District Police Office, Makwanpur said the accident took place when a truck (Na 2 Kha 8864) overturned due to break failure.



The injured are undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital.



Similarly, Two Indian nationals have also died in a road accident at Gobardiya VDC-1, Kalakate, in Dang district this morning.



The deceased have been identified as Basmati and Imrita of Siddharthanagar village, Batauli, India, according to the District Police Office, Dang.



The accident took place when a truck (Na 3 Kha 7270) hit a bus (Ra 1 Kha 472) carrying Indian devotees which was heading towards Krishnanagar, India. The bus was returning from Sworgadwari, a Hindu pilgrimage site in Pyuthan district.



Five persons were seriously injured in the accident.



Parbati Mauriya and Dipendra Sahaniya of India are among the injured.



The seriously injured have been sent to Krishnanagar for further treatment after first aid treatment at Primary Health Center, Bhalubang while 25 others are undergoing treatment at Primary Health center, Lamahi.



The Area Police Office, Bhalubang, took the truck driver and truck under control.
