BIRGUNJ, July 7: An Indian national running a FM station in Birgunj was found dead in India on Saturday.

The dead body of Santosh Gupta, the managing director of Bindaas FM, was recovered from a garden near Dhaka in East Champaran district of Bihar.[break]

According to SP JN Chaudhary of Dhaka, Gupta´s body has deep cuts, mainly in the head. “It looks like his body was crushed under a vehicle,” Chaudhari said.

Gupta, 31, had started Bindaas FM two months ago in partnership with Ram Chandra Yadav of Rautahat and Panna Lal Sah of Parsa.

Bihar police say Gupta might have been murdered because of his suspected involvement in fake currency rackets.

Bihar police have arrested three Indian nationals -- Munna Kumar, Madhav Singh and Bijaya Sah -- in connection with Gupta´s murder. “We are investigating the murder,” East Champaran Police SP Ganesh Kumar said. “We will soon uncover the truth.”

Gupta´s body has been handed over to his family after a postmortem at the district hospital in Motihari, Bihar.

The District Police Office of Parsa is also investigating the murder. “We have deployed an inspector exclusively for investigation into the incident,” said Parsa SP Pitambar Adhikari.

Originally a resident of Raxaul of Bihar, Gupta had obtained a Nepali citizenship in 2063 BS.
