They have been worried as the seeds are destroyed in the farmland; and no rice transplantation has been completed especially in Tathali, Nakhel, Sipadol, Sudal, Bageswori, Nagarkot, Chittapol and Gundu VDCs.

Even vegetable plants planted as cash crops have been dying for lack of irrigation, the agriculture development office Bhaktapur said. This has caused losses of hundreds of thousands of rupees, said a famer of Nakhel VDC, Rajaram Panta.
