A few diplomats and national and international media have already been sent with invitations for the event, the source said. The government is set to announce Gaurishankar Conservation Area through the cabinet meeting.
The cabinet will also endorse the government´s Declaration Letter for the UN Conference on Climate Change (COP-15), scheduled for Copenhagen, in December.
The source said the government is likely to announce the decision for holding the cabinet meeting at the base camp on Sunday.
