Establishment stronger than Deuba faction in Bhojpur

BHOJPUR, Feb 6: The establishment of the Nepali Congress has gained ground in the representatives selection in Bhojpur held for the upcoming 13th General Convention.

With two constituencies, regional presidents have been elected from both the sides in Bhojpur. In constituency-1 Pushpa Kumar Tamang from Deuba faction while Udip Rai has been elected for constituency-2 from the establishment. Tamang was elected as the president of constituency-1 by beating Janak Ghale of Deuba faction itself. Tamang got 171 votes while Ghale obtained 115 votes.


Similarly, Rai got elected by beating other two candidates of the establishment.

Rai got 116 votes while his closest rival obtained 99 votes. Jagat Chauhan secured only 38 votes.

Of the 20 representatives, 12 are from the establishment while the rest are from Deuba faction.

Deuba faction has a strong hold in the constituency-1 while establishment has ruled the roost in the constituency-2.
