KATHMANDU, Sept. 3: The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has put on test the electronic crematorium, the first of its kind in the country, prepared at Pashupati Gaushala in Pinglasthan.

The electronic crematorium would be brought into operation from September 18.

A quake-claimed person from Bhaktapur district was cremated on Thursday. Identity of the man, who was kept in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, was not confirmed.

Member Secretary of the PADT Dr Govinda Tandan said that the electronic crematorium takes some 45 minutes but it consumed an hour for being the first trial. The trial will continue on Friday too. RSS
