Eid al-Adha, or the 'Feast of Sacrifice', a festival of Muslim community, marking the willingness of Abraham to offer up his son to Allah.
Many Muslim followers visit Mecca in a pilgrimage known as 'Haaj', however, those who fail to make to the trip celebrate the festival in their homelands.
The government of Nepal declared a public holiday on Friday to mark the auspicious festival.
