KATHMANDU, April 8: The joint meeting to discuss the cabinet extension between Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and the Chairman of Madhesi People’s Rights Forum (MPRF) Upendra Yadav on Friday ended inconclusively.

The leaders failed to reach consensus on power sharing as the MPRF is demanding four ministries over which differences persist. [break]

The coalition parties are urging the MPRF to take two or three ministries.

Emerging from the meeting, Yadav said that the parties are fine with expanding the government but the differences prevail over allocation of the portfolios.
