Dahal charges UML leaders for hatching conspiracies

MORANG, Feb. 20: Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday alleged that some forces in the CPN-UML, that want peace process being derailed, were opposing the seven-point agreement signed between UML and Maoist.[break]



Dahal said some UML leaders have been hatching conspiracies against the Maoist to obstruct the party from joining the government.



UCPN-Maoist Chairman Dahal, Vice-Chairmen Mohan Baidhya ‘Kiran’ and Dr. Baburam Bhattarai arrived in Biratnagar on Sunday to conduct a political training to the party’s cadres of the Kochila, Limbuwan and Kirant State Committees.



Some 300 leaders from the three state committees will attend the training.



Dahal claimed that the seven-point agreement was signed to take the peace process to its logical end and added that the Maoist party will take decision whether or not to join the government only after the decision of the UML central committee meeting.



He promised not to topple down the Khanal-led government and clarified that the Maoist party will remain in opposition instead.
