The association is planning to construct the covered hall on a land provided by a local Raju Adhikari free of cost. The current valuation of the land is estimated at Rs 1 million. The area of the land is nearly two katthas. [break]
According to Kuberman Rai, president of the district karate association, the covered hall will be used for conducting special seminars and trainings.
The association is planning to lay the foundation stone of covered hall on February 12. The expected cost of construction is Rs 6.1 million.
Meanwhile, a meeting held on Friday in Bharaula has formed a seven member covered hall construction committee under the presidency of Adhikari, the land donor.
Bhes Raj Karki is the secretary and Man Kumar Rai the treasurer. Similarly, a three member monitoring committee has been formed to monitor the construction work.
Meanwhile, donor Adhikari also declared that he would provide 20 sacks of cement, three tractors sand, two tractor pebbles and a tractor of bricks for the construction.
Similarly, other donors have also pledged money for the covered hall. While Khadga Bahadur Rai has declared to provide Rs 20,000, Karate coach Manoj Shakya and Manoj Bista have promised Rs 11,111 each.
