Speaking at a program organized by Revolutionary Journalists Association, Nawalparasi at Danda, he said, there is no alternative to national consensus government for lasting peace and constitution writing that Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman Jhala Nath Khanal should think for forming national government.
Dr. Bhattarai said if the parties do not work for peace and constitution writing process, they could not do anything than pasting their leaders’ photo in Singhadarbar.
He added that his party was for forming coalition government creating consensus among all parties.
“We have not thinking for the alternative to this government,” said Bhattarai.
We will not join the government until the government brings clear agendas though our support is for the Khanal led government now,” he said.
He expressed his hope that the parties would create political consensus and bring new constitution within May 28.
