Chand promoted to lt general

KATHMANDU, July 13: The government has promoted Nepal Bhushan Chand to the post of lieutenant general of the Nepal Army (NA).



A cabinet meeting on Wednesday took a decision to this effect. Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Chhatraman Singh Gurung had recommended the Ministry of Defense to promote Chand. [break]



Last week, the government had promoted Major General Gaurav Shamser Rana to the post of Chief of General Staff. Similarly, the cabinet meeting has appointed Nanda Lal Sah as the chief of Nepal Food Corporation.
