The 61-member CC´s decided on the move after its members said they could not convert the questions into objective format unless fundamental political issues such as system of governance were first settled.[break]
At the CC meeting on Friday, Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel argued CC´s efforts to convert the questions yielded no result nor would it be helpful to forward the questionnaire in its current format to full CA for voting.

"I propose to send the list of questions back to the subcommittee that will first try to resolve the disputes and will then try to convert the questions into objective format," Paudel said at the meeting. Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who heads the subcommittee, and CPN-UML´s Bhim Rawal seconded the proposal and was subsequently endorsed.
The subcommittee has been given one day to resolve the issues and submit the report at the CC meeting on Saturday afternoon.
The 601-seat CA will conduct a votes after CC Chairman Nilambar Acharya tables the list of questions at the CA meeting for decisions through votes.
