CC meeting deferred

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The Constitutional Council (CC) meeting scheduled for Monday morning has been deferred after main opposition leader Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal boycotted the meeting.



"The meeting couldn´t take place due to Dahal´s absence," said Bishnu Rijal, the press advisor of the prime minister.



The meeting was expected to recommend next chief justice. Chief Justice Min Bahadur Rayamajhee is retiring on December 12. This is the second time the Maoist boycotted the CC meeting.
