CA committee chair attacked

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Chairman of the CA Committee on System of Governance, Shambhu Hajara Dusad was attacked on Sunday evening when he was on his way to his apartment at New Baneshwar.



An unidentified group attacked him with iron rods in front of his own apartment Sunday midnight. Dusad received minor injures in his fingers, and filed a complaint at a nearby police station. [break]



The Nepali Congress (NC), on whose ticket Dusad was elected CA member, has demanded action against the guilty.



“We condemn the attack and demand probe into the incident,” said Nabindra Raj Joshi, spokesperson of the NC parliamentary board.
