KATHMANDU, March 19: Virgin Mobile Pvt Ltd at New Road has introduced another scheme ´Virgin Mobile March Madness 2010´ for the month of March.



Under the scheme, the store is offering as much as 58 percent on the purchase of branded mobile phones. The store provides buyers with madness vouchers on every purchase of branded mobile phones from the store. [break]



“The madness voucher comprises of double scratch offer with an instant discount on purchase and also a cash voucher up to Rs 5,000 which can be reduced on future purchase,” Kiran Thapa, showroom manager of Virgin Mobile, said, issuing a press statement on Friday. The scratch card includes cash vouchers in the range of Rs 250 to Rs 5,000.





Allout launches Funanza scheme



KATHMANDU, March 19: SC Johnson, the producer of Allout mosquito repellent products, has come up with a new scheme Allout Funanza to generate excitement and fun for the customers this summer.



As per the scheme, the customers will get a scratch card on every purchase of Allout Combi or Allout Refill Packs. Lucky buyers will get a bumper price of a round trip to Malaysia. People can also win refrigerators, microwave ovens, mixers, emergency lights and cash prizes, SC Johnson said in a statement on Friday.



The firm currently operates in more than 70 countries globally and their products are sold in 110 countries. SC Johnson has launched products like Baygon, Mr. Muscle Kitchen Cleaner, Mr. Muscle Glass Cleaner and Mr. Muscle Toilet Cleaner in Nepali market.





LG introduces new LCD TV



KATHMANDU, March 19: LG has introduced LH and LF series of LCD Television in the market.



Issuing a press statement on Friday, the company said these LCD TVs are designed for Smart energy savings and offer unique features to reduce power consumption by up to 70 percent.



The statement further added that these television sets are loaded with advanced feature like intelligent sensors, invisible speaker integration and clear voice which makes this latest range of LG LCD TVs the latest craze in hi-end home entertainment.



Promoted as ´the evolution of television”, the new range of LG LH and LF series LCD TVs are competitively priced and offer to bring international quality to Nepali homes, the statement further added.





Nepal SBI Bank at Lainchaur



KATHMANDU, March 19: Nepal SBI Bank formally inaugurated its commercial branch at Lainchaur on Friday.



Rajiv Pal Singh, chief general manager of State Bank of India, inaugurated the branch amid a ceremony attended by BK Shrestha, chairman of Nepal SBI Bank, local directors, dignitaries and senior officials from the bank, the bank said in a statement.



The branch will act as center for processing and providing all kinds of business and commercial loans including Letter of Credit, guarantees etc. in very specialized and efficient manner, the statement added.



The bank has a network of 33 branches, among which 22 are located outside the Valley. The bank has 38 ATM terminals and has access to more than 20,000 ATMs of the SBI at India. The bank is planning to increase its ATM terminals to 50 by the end of this fiscal year.
