ITAHARI, Jan 27: Human Rights activist Krishna Pahadi said on Thursday said there is only 20 percent hope that the country would get new constitution within the stipulated time of May 28.

Speaking at an office assumption ceremony of newly-elected members of Itahari Jaycees, the firebrand civil society leader argued that there is no alternative to drafting new constitution on time to address the problems facing the country.[break]

“The country has been reeling under a state of indecision as the lawmakers have tried to keep their political supremacy while forgetting their main responsibility,” argued Pahadi.

“There will be multi-dimensional conflict in the country if new constitution is not promulgated on time.” Warning the parties that they would be completely wiped off the political scene if they continued in the same manner, Pahadi said the country faced the problem as the political parties do not have a system of adopting cooperative politics.
