Bhaktapur forest office to remove encroachment

BHAKTAPUR, July 18: The District Forest Office, Bhaktapur, has decided to demolish the huts and physical constructions built by encroaching upon the forest areas in the district.



According to the office, huts and walls in Nagarkot area would be demolished in the first phase. The office has stated that 7.15 hectares of land was encroached by 157 houses and huts built in the forest areas in the district. Most of the huts are build in Nagarkot VDC, chief of the office, Kumbharaj Lama said.
