Base Footwear gets ISO certification

KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Base Footwear, the producer of bf dear hill -- a popular shoes brand, has got ISO 9001:2008 certification, becoming the first footwear manufacturer to get such certification in Nepal, the company said in a statement on Monday.



Established sixteen years ago, Base Footwear is currently manufacturing 350 pairs of shoes a day. The company has also unveiled a plan to enter in the South Asian market soon. "We will export our products in the South Asian market in the near future," the statement added.



Base Footwear mainly targets young customers and its products range includes sports shoes, leather shoes, trekking shoes, sandals and belts. The company also offers six months warranty on shoes of bf dear hill brand.
