KATHMANDU, May 27: CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya on Monday ruled out any possibility of unity between his party and the mother party, UCPN (Maoist).

“Be clear that in no way will our party be united with them,” Baidya said, adding that the rumor about party merger was started just "to scare the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML.” [break]

He made it clear there has been no talks so far in that direction and that the UCPN (Maoist) is only spreading the rumor. “We parted our ways because we had political and ideological differences,” he said at a program organized at the party head office in Anamnagar. “Unless they admit that they committed a mistake, the idea of party unity is out of question,” Baidya added.
